25th September 12 - 4pm Friends of Silk Heritage Open Day in the Whitaker Room. See items from the museum collection, not normally on display
13th October 7.30pm Friends of Silk Heritage AGM followed at 8pm by a talk Silk Towns across the sea. Luxury Textiles - in his illustrated lecture, Richard de Peyer, formerly Director of the Silk Museum will explain the development of the silk industry and go on to survey the contemporary fashion scene in Italy. Free admission if attending AGM
10th November 7.30pm Friends of Silk Heritage The History of Plant Medicine by Lyndon Murgatroyd's illustrated talk will expand our knowledge and perhaps debunk a few myths in the process
11th December 2pm Friends of Silk Heritage The History Wardrobe present Jane Austen's Christmas. Jointly with the Silk Museum and held in the auditorium a welcome return of the History Wardrobe followed by a festive afternoon tea.
