The Friends of Macclesfield Silk Heritage
The Friends of Macclesfield Silk Heritage were formed in 1980 and work with the two charitable trusts responsible for the Heritage Centre and the four Macclesfield Museums, to help record and display the town and its history. You can help support our work by:
- Publicising the activities of the museums
- Fundraising for the museums
- Serving in the Silk Shop
- Guiding and demonstrating at Paradise Mill
- Assisting in the Victorian Schoolroom with school parties
- Carrying out research
- Decorating, gardening and odd-jobbing
- Assisting the organisation of social activities, special events and lectures
- Assisting with office work
