Located in the Heritage Centre, the Silk Shop offers an extensive range of silk related items including articles produced by the few remaining silk manufacturers in the town.
For those interested in the history of silk, there are
numerous publications for sale dealing with this specialist subject as well as a 'collectors corner' offering much sought after silk related items including fine examples of the renowned Macclesfield Silk Pictures, a lasting legacy of the famous Brocklehurst Whiston silk manufacturers of international repute.
Students will be attracted by the extensive stock of illustrated books and source materials including publications relating to family history
